WOHS, Algebra 1, Quarter 1, Week 7 Plans

We will begin Chapter 3 this week:  Functions.  There will be daily practice assigned either through your student’s Big Ideas Math account or on Quizizz via Google Classroom.   These assignments may have several question, but the vast majority will be simple “yes” or “no” type questions and should not take up a lot of time.  My goal is for repetition in practice.

Monday, 9/23: Section 3.1:  What is a Function?

Tuesday, 9/24: Section 3.1, continued.

Wednesday, 9/25: Section 3.2:  Linear Functions

Thursday, 9/26: Sections 3.1 and 3.2, continued

Friday, 9/27: *Update* Section 3.3, Function Notation.  *I’ve got jury duty on Monday, so I’m moving the quiz to Monday so I can teach the lesson scheduled for Monday.**

Monday, 9/16- Teacher Work Day

Tuesday, 9/17- Chapter 2, Section 4:  Solving Multi-Step Inequalities

Wednesday, 9/17- Chapter 2 Test Review

Thursday, 9/18-  Chapter 2 Test

Friday, 9/19- Compound Inequalities

There will be a grade check at the end of this week.  It will be a important, because extracurricular eligibility will be attached to these grades.  This is why I am testing on Thursday, so I can get grading done to allow an opportunity for remediation and retesting before grades are submitted.  I’ll email a more detailed plan later this week.
